THE HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
of SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND
cordially invites you to
An evening with Jonathan Stone, HBS ’84, May 20th
“Setting the Course for Save The Bay”
Rising seas, increasing temperatures and flooding rivers mean new challenges
…for an organization that has
championed environmental protection, restoration and stewardship for
Narragansett Bay for 40 years. In the year and a half since taking the
helm, Jonathan Stone has charted a fresh course, and will talk about the
experience of assuming the leadership of Save The Bay at such a pivotal
time. Save The Bay, like non-profit and environmental organizations
everywhere, must use new tools and garner new resources to carry out its
mission, especially in times of crisis like the recent flood – the
worst Rhode Island has seen in over 100 years.
Jonathan,
51, became Save The Bay’s fourth Executive Director in January of 2009.
Prior to joining Save The Bay, he was managing director and co-founder
of Boston-based Lee Munder Capital Group where he helped to build a
premier investment management business (his areas of expertise included
alternative energy development). He served previously as CFO of Transtrack, Inc., a Massachusetts communications company. Stone is a Brown University graduate who holds an MBA from Harvard University.
